Mike is the State Program Director for Meals for Vets which is a flagship program of Honor Veterans Now, a state-wide non-profit organization who’s mission is to serve a daily, nutritious meal to U.S. veterans who are struggling financially anywhere in the state.
Mike is a retired peace officer with the Kerrville Police Department having spent over 28 years in law enforcement. He is also an over 20 year veteran broadcaster in both radio and television and continues to dabble in radio whenever the opportunity arises.
Prior to joining Meals for Vets, Mike was the Director of Veterans Services with Hill Country MHDD where he supervised the veteran services program in 17 of the 19 counties covered by MHDD.
Mike is also a veteran of the Army having served as a reconnaissance scout with the 2nd Armor Division’s Hell on Wheels from 1979 to 1982.
