The Kerrville Morning Rotary Club held its’ annual new officer installation and awards ceremony at their weekly breakfast meeting at the Salvation Army Kroc Community Center.
Out-going President Ray Buck spoke with the club about the successes of the past year and of the importance of living the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self”.  He reminded the members and guests present that we exist as a club and as a people to work and to help others.  Ray also thanked the membership for going above and beyond this last year in all of the community service activities in which the club participated.
Randy McClay, chairman of the Rotary Foundation committee, reminded the members of the importance of the Foundation.  He then presented the newest Paul Harris Fellows, as well as some of the existing Paul Harris Fellows, with their commemorative pins.
Ray Buck then announced that our Rotarian of the Year is actually two individuals:  Ron Hackett and Nancy Riley.  Presentation awards were given to both Ron and Nancy for their dedication and tireless efforts on behalf of Rotary.
In addition, Ray presented Presidential Awards to Bob Green and to Randy McClay to thank them for their many years of dedicated service to Rotary International.
Bob Green administered the in-coming officers in their oaths of office.  The new officers for the coming twelve months are:  Mike Hunter, President; Waverly Jones, Vice President; Nancy Riley, Secretary; Ron Hackett, Treasurer; and Arthur Clough, Sergeant-at-Arms.
